Congratulations Virginia Tech Cycling Team members! Thanks to your hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm, the VT Cycling Team has been named Club of the Year by the Virginia Tech Department of Recreational Sports.

This is a fantastic achievement, but it doesn’t mean that we can take it easy! Continue to spread the word about our club and its purpose by attending races in your kit, talking to potential club members and sponsors, and representing our team with positive and professional character. We have come a long way, but there is still much to improve upon. Also, be sure to support your hard working club officers through various manners such as continual feedback and assistance.
Good luck in your upcoming final exams team; I hope to see you in the race fields this summer!

Congratulations to all Virginia Tech Cycling Team members on a fantastic performance this spring racing season! Over the many weekends of intense competition we’ve seen excellent results from many of our talented individual riders, as well as incredible, inspirational improvement in all of our racers, veterans and rookies alike. Through our trials and tribulations we have managed to best many of the big contenders in the ACCC this season, ultimately nabbing a solid 3rd place in D1!
Even though the collegiate road season has come to a close, we cannot simply hang up the bike and hope to improve purely by virtue of our indolence, as appealing as a sedentary lifestyle may seem. This summer there are plenty of excellent USAC races in which to participate and the weather will be begging us to indulge in its boons. Even if you will not be living in Blacksburg this summer, surely there is a local club team with which you can participate in your hometown. Be sure to check out USA cycling’s website as well as bikereg.com for events in your area!
So basically, get outside and ride! We want a strong team for the upcoming mountain and cyclocross season, and an even stronger showing in the 2013 road season!
