Race: The course is rolling with no major climbs. The finish is on an uphill grade.

Race staging: Staging, start and finish will be at the Simmonsville Volunteer Fire Department on VA-42. From there the race will proceed north on VA-42.

Directions: From I-81 travel west on VA-460 past Blacksburg towards Pearisburg. Turn right off VA-460 onto VA-42. Travel 10 miles north on VA-42 to Simmonsville Volunteer Fire Department on the left.

Race: This is a mass start event. Categories will begin together as a field but will be scored as an individual time trial. The first 2.4 miles are flat to rolling. The last 6.3 miles is a fairly steady grade to the top of Mountain Lake. The race finishes at the top of Mountain Lake at the entrance to the hotel.

Race staging: will be at the Newport community center on VA 42. The race will roll out to Clover Hollow Rd before starting. Vehicles can be left at Mountain Lake Hotel for riders after the race. Facilities will also be available at the finish.

Directions: From I-81 travel west on VA-460 past Blacksburg towards Pearisburg. Turn right off VA-460 onto VA-42. Travel 1 mile north on VA-42 to Newport Community Center on right.
